50 Cent got shot and still whines about it on stage. Teddy Roosevelt got shot mid-speech and didn’t leave the stage until he was finished. We need new everything.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle. Merry Xmas.
Awesomeness abounds. Watch several has-beens sing “Let It Be” on a greenscreen beach, including Carlton from “Fresh Prince”, Norm from “Cheers”, one of the Milli Vanilli guys, and Cleo from “Cosby”. I can’t decide which pseudo-celebrity I was happiest to see…probably Dee Snider. I love that crazy guy.
I almost started shouting along with the crowd.
Awesome:
Steve Weibe Reclaims The Donkey Kong World Record – All Is Right With The World
Wiebe last held the Donkey Kong record in spring of 2007, only to be bested by his movie rival Billy Mitchell months later. Mitchell’s score fell to New York’s Hank Chien in March of this year, but the Florida hot sauce distributor regained the title on July 31 with a score of 1,062,800 points.
Wiebe, who has attempted regaining the record at numerous live events over the years, recorded his championship game on August 30 for submission to Twin Galaxies, who verified and announced the score on Monday, September 20 as the new World Record.

I feel this man’s pain.
This is a contender for my all-time favorite internet video, even rivaling the video of two kids performing a basketball trick on a skateboard (seen here) and Rap-Cat (seen here). I love it because it displays the power of YouTube to draw us into the small, everyday, but completely insane, parts of other people’s lives. 10 or so years ago, no one would ever think to share a song they sing as they are looking for Chapstick, but here in Warhol’s future, not sharing this song would be unthinkable. There is no way in the world I should even know what this girl looks like, much less hear her sing a song about Chapstick, much less find that thousands of others have also seen and heard the same. The excess is beautiful.
WHAT?
